The Farrells were visiting son Barrie and other young friends at Irvine's Landing at the mouth of Pender Harbour in the late sixties.The 39 foot Native Girl was built in 1965 in Green Bay on Nelson Island.Beginning as a ketch, Allen later changed her to a schooner.
